Britain: This round of talks is the last chance for an agreement

The foreign minister warned of the end of the opportunity for diplomacy and called for the return of the Islamic regime of Iran to the negotiating table with serious proposals.

“last chance [for the Islamic regime of Iran] to come to the negotiating table with a serious resolution to this issue, which has to be agreeing the terms of the JCPOA,” British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said on Sunday Dec 12, 2021.

“This is their last chance and this is vital that they do so,” she added. “We will not allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.”

The British Foreign Secretary also said on Wednesday, on the eve of the resumption of the seventh round of observations of the revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), that these talks were “really the last chance for the Islamic regime of Iran.”

“This is really the last chance for Iran to sign up and I strongly urge them to do that because we are determined to work with our allies to prevent Iran securing nuclear weapons,” she said.
