The Iraqi Supreme Court on Monday rejected the complaint of terrorists affiliated with the Islamic regime of Iran against the results of the October 2021 parliamentary elections.

The Iraqi Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced the final results of the counting of votes in the Iraqi parliamentary elections on December 29, but the popular mobilization group insisted that the election had been rigged.

According to the final results approved by the Iraqi judiciary, the Sadr faction led by Muqtada al-Sadr has won 73 seats. Following Sadr, the Sunni-led coalition led by current speaker of the Iraqi parliament Mohammed al-Halbousi has 37 seats.

The Coalition for the Rule of Law, led by former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, won 33 seats, the KDP 31, and the Al-Fatah coalition, which is affiliated with the popular uprising, won only 17 seats.
