Turkish exports to Israel jumped 37 percent to $1.8 billion in the first quarter of 2020, the highest record in time.
Turkey and Israel have improved their relations in recent months. Israeli President Ishaq Herzog traveled to Ankara last month. Recep Tayyip Erdogan also announced the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to the country in the near future.
Statistics from the Turkish Exporters’ Association show that a quarter of the country’s exports to Israel in the first quarter of 2022 were steel products. In the next categories are chemical products, clothing, cement and automotive industries.
