Mohammad Sirus, a reporter with connections to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), tweeted that Hassan Rouhani is in trial. He wrote: “Yesterday, following a judicial summons, Hassan Rouhani appeared in secret in one of the courts and was informed of the charges against him. Praise to Mr. Mohseni Ejei’s honor and courage.… Finally, he responded to the demands.”
Earlier, according to the Article 90 Commission of the Islamic regime’s parliament, which receives various complaints and sends them to the regime’s judiciary, it has received numerous complaints from Hassan Rouhani and his government officials. On September 9, 2021, in a public session of the Islamic regime’s parliament, Hujjat al-Islam Fallahi, a representative of Hamedan, said: “Everywhere we go, people are seeking the trial of previous government officials, especially Rouhani. We call on the judiciary to investigate the violations of former executives.”
Earlier, however, (Hujjat al-Islam) Fazel Meybodi, a reformist political activist, on efforts to raise the issue of Rouhani’s trial said: “If we are to introduce and prosecute the culprit of the current situation in the country, it will not be limited to Hassan Rouhani, but will affect many more.”
