A member of the Cultural Commission of the Regime’s Parliament announced that a letter to the Supreme National Security Council was signed by 39 representatives, requesting a review of what is called the “Defense Doctrine” of the Islamic Republic.
In an interview with ISNA, Hasan Ali Akhlik Amiri said; since “no international organization, not even European and American countries” can “control” Israel today, the “defense deterrence” of the Islamic Republic should be strengthened.
He also said that Khamenei’s fatwa stating that nuclear weapons are forbidden is still in place because “in the literature of Imami jurisprudence, time and place can change the rules, and sometimes secondary rulings can replace primary rulings.”
