Identification and capture of several drones in Iraq

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday, August 13 (August 22) that the country’s Intelligence Management and Counter-Terrorism Organization has identified and seized more than 20 domestic drones in Baghdad in two separate operations.
 
In this regard, the ministry also announced the arrest of four people. In the news published in this regard, the identity of these people and also the exact details of the type of drones are not mentioned.
 
At the beginning of August, Saudi Arabia announced drone attacks on its oil facilities and declared its origin as attacks by supporters of the Mullahs’ regime in Iraq.
 
Ali Falah Al-Zaidi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Prime Minister of Iraq, ordered the relevant security institutions to investigate in connection with this Saudi accusation, and later it was announced that the investigation of the available information and evidence had begun and “necessary legal measures will be taken against any person or party whose role in these actions is proven.”
 
In today’s announcement of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, it is not said whether the identifications and capture of the drones are related to this investigation or whether it is a separate case.
