US media outlets on Friday, November 5, published a letter from 17 Republican congressmen to Biden requesting the following, “The United States should stop nuclear talks with the Islamic regime of Iran because of Revolutionary Guards drone strikes on US base in Syria.”
Seventeen Republican members of Congress, led by Brian Steele, have accused Biden administration of “Ignoring the Rising Aggressive Attacks of the Islamic Republic of Iran on US Forces and Its Allies in the Middle East.” “In a time of escalating tensions in the Middle East, it sends a dangerous message to our friends and enemies that we will continue to lift sanctions and negotiate with the largest sponsor of terrorism because they are attacking us.” the letter said.
“Your administration is setting the wrong priorities by trying to re-enter the Iran nuclear deal,” Congressmen wrote in a letter to Biden. “We continue to see Iran’s attacks on US forces and our allies in the Middle East, as well as the increase in its nuclear activities, and the Biden administration undermines the US ability to fight the Iranian regime by lifting US sanctions,” the 17 delegates wrote in their dissertations.
The UAV attack, which was referred to by congressmen in its letter, was carried out on Wednesday, October 20, with five UAVs loaded with explosives. In addition to the US military base in Tanf, the attacks also targeted Syrian opposition station. U.S. officials said after the attack that “the Revolutionary Guards were behind the drone attack.”
The Washington Free Bacon, which published a letter from 17 members of Congress, wrote that the Biden government did not respond to the drone strike and did not announce any action to counter the Islamic regime of Iran. According to the report, the US government’s refusal to respond to the attacks has led to accusations against the Biden government that it is refraining from responding to the attacks in order to reach a nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
