Lebanon in a nationwide power outage

Despite sending fuel consignments donated by the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Hezbollah terrorist group, Lebanon’s electricity has been completely cut off since the afternoon of Saturday, October 28th.  The two power plants “Al-Zahrani” and “Dir Ammar” were out of the network when they ran out of fuel. The Lebanese Electricity Company says the country’s electricity production has dropped below 270 MW. Currently, only 200 megawatts of electricity is generated in various power plants and small dams.

With the rise of the Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon, the country, known as the “Middle East Bride” in the past two years, is experiencing the worst economic and financial crisis in its history.  The Lebanese currency has depreciated sharply and unemployment is rising rapidly. About three-quarters of the country’s population now lives in poverty.
