Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the victorious Iraqi parliamentary elections, warned in a statement that he would be forced to reveal himself if the results of the investigation into the assassination of the Iraqi prime minister were not revealed. It is said that the involvement of groups affiliated with the Islamic regime of Iran in the assassination of Mustafa al-Kazemi has led to the publication of the results of the investigation.
“What should not be overlooked is the glory of the country, and the attack on the house of the Iraqi prime minister is a clear violation of the sovereignty and terror of the country, as well as inciting sedition and insecurity throughout Iraq,” Muqtada al-Sadr wrote in a statement today. “It is therefore necessary that the results of the investigation into this case be made public and that the terrorists who carried out this shameful assassination be arrested and punished,” he added.
The Iraqi cleric and politician warned that “if the results of the investigation into the assassination of the Iraqi Prime Minister are not disclosed, we will have to disclose it in the future.”
Less than 20 days ago, Mustafa Kazemi’s house was attacked by three drones, two of which were shot down by the security system, but another damaged part of the house, injuring the bodyguards of the Iraqi Prime Minister.
