Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence service, said it had identified and thwarted planned attacks by Israeli Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force on Israeli tourists and businessmen in the three African countries of Tanzania, Senegal and Ghana.

The Israeli security service said that five Lebanese-trained people from the three countries had been detained and interrogated by Israeli security forces with the help of Israeli intelligence.

Cyprian security officials also announced that they had indicted six people, including a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan and three Pakistanis, as well as a Cyprian, on charges of plotting to attack and abduct “Israeli targets” on the island. Cyprian officials say pictures of Lebanese Hezbollah members and the face of a Pakistani man who fought against opponents of Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria have been found on an Azerbaijani phone.

Exactly one month ago, it was reported that a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan had been arrested in Cyprus with a gun and muffler for threatening Teddy Sagi, a prominent Israeli-Azerbaijani businessman.
