In an interview with the state radio and television, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian demanded the release of $10 billion in blocked assets of the Islamic regime of Iran. The foreign minister of the Islamic regime of Iran, known as the “Resistance Diplomat”, has announced the lifting of the embargo on the regime’s assets as a condition for returning to the Vienna talks.

During the interview, Amir Abdollahian claimed that Biden government officials had tried to contact him through various channels during his stay in New York. “Those who have mediated to contact the United States have been told that if the United States is serious about negotiating a solution with Iran, it must unblock Iran’s financial assets,” he said.

Amir Abdollahian has thus made the return of the Islamic regime of Iran to the negotiations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna conditional on the lifting of the blockade of Iran’s $10 billion frozen assets.
