A day after Khamenei’s government ordered a ban on Korean home appliances imports, on Thursday Sept 30th, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, foreign minister of Iran called South Korean Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong asking “Seoul to make double efforts to help Tehran gain access to its assets in South Korean banks.”

On the other hand, Chung Eui-yong assured Amir-Abdollahian, that, South Korea had done its utmost efforts in this regard, including assisting the Islamic regime in providing humanitarian aid (vaccines, drugs, etc.).

With the return of US sanctions by President Trump, about $7 billion of Iranian oil money has been frozen in South Korean banks, and Khamenei is trying hard to gain access to the frozen assets and send it in cash to terrorist groups in the region.
