Jahan e Sanat newspaper reported: the number of desperate body organ sellers is on a rise. young Iranians sell their body parts in Iraq to earn some money. Dealers send the seller to neighboring countries such as the UAE, Turkey and Iraq to sell their body parts for $7,000 to $15,000.
Some social experts have reacted to the trade of Iranians’ kidneys in Iraq for dollars.
According to Jahan e Sanat, the sale of body parts is not aimed at a specific age group or a specific gender. Most of these people are between 18 and 40 years old. But the important thing is that sometimes the domestic buyers of these organs cannot afford these huge costs. Many of them have to sell their houses and cars to save the lives of their loved ones. For this reason, the sale of body parts has been expanded abroad.
Another part of this report states: kidney, bone marrow, a quarter of liver, and anything else in a living human body that can be transplanted can be traded from 100 million tomans to one billion tomans in the organ donation black market. Although the deputy official of the Iranian Organ Dojnation Association said that the sale of kidneys is not the same as it used to be and the sellers must do this under the supervision of the government.
