Heshmatullah Falahatpisheh, the former head of the National Security Commission of the Regime Parliament, said that in his opinion, Iran and America are still practically in a state of war, and the Islamabad understanding was only a temporary break in this confrontation, which was not maintained. He believes that Washington is now pursuing three options at the same time: returning to military action, intensifying economic pressure or reaching a new diplomatic mechanism.
Falahatpisheh also said about the visit of the Pakistani delegation to Tehran that this delegation conveyed new messages and threats from America rather than carrying the message of reviving Islamabad’s understanding. According to him, the US is trying to reduce the concessions it gave in the Islamabad agreement in any new possible agreement.
