According to the Jerusalem Post on Tuesday, October 12, Pompeo, speaking during the 10th Diplomatic Conference of the Jerusalem Post, said that President Trump’s administration’s decision to step down was the right thing to do and that policies were being taken to protect the world from the Iranian regime.<\/p>\n
“We have restricted them (the Iranian regime) from access to resources and their ability to pose a threat in the Persian Gulf region,” the president’s secretary of state added. The removal of Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani demonstrated our serious determination to defend US interests around the world. Asked by reporters how clear the prospect of a general normalization with the Arab nations was for Israel, Pompeo said he believed several Arab countries were ready to recognize Israel as a “partner of peace and prosperity.”<\/p>\n
