Bahram Parsai, a former member of the regime’s parliament, believes that Ebrahim Raisi should apologize to the Iranian people if he does not have a proof on the oppression of ancient Iranian civilization.

Two days ago, during a trip to Fars province, Ibrahim Raisi visited the Persepolis complex and said on the sidelines of the meeting, “A message from Persepolis to the oppressors is to see the fate of those who oppress the people.”

According to historical documents, piety proves the authority of the glorious civilization of ancient Iran, along with respect for human rights and equality of races, religions, men and women. If Mr. Raisi has discovered a document about the oppression of this civilization, introduce it, and if not, apologize to the Iranians who consider his recent remarks an insult to their national identity.

Reformist political activist Ibrahim Fayyaz also wrote in a note in the Etemad newspaper to Ibrahim Raisi, “It seems that a futile attempt is being made to distort the cultural, national and historical values of the country.” “Iran has been a combination of its national history and religious identity,” he wrote. “Do not go the wrong way. Do not repeat what the Pahlavi dynasty did.  They denied our Islamic identity, you do not deny our national identity. Iranians need both. The historical glory of its past and its transcendent religion,” Ibrahim Fayyaz said.

Zahid wrote, “Persepolis is a symbol of the will, power and glory of our fathers and mothers. Do not deny it. Alexander the Great thought he could deny that great power by setting it on fire, but he could not. Just as the Achaemenid kings could not destroy the glory of Greece by setting fire to Athens.”
