According to Amirkabir Newsletter Iranian Nuclear Engineer executed for Alleged Espionage for Israel.

Dr. Roozbeh Vadi, a PhD graduate in nuclear engineering (reactor specialization) from Amirkabir University of Technology and a member of Iran’s Nuclear Science and Technology Research Institute, was executed on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

He was charged for Espionage and intelligence collaboration with Israel’s Mossad.

Iran’s judiciary claimed Vadi knowingly and deliberately collaborated with Mossad, sharing sensitive information related to Iran’s nuclear program A.

Vadi had co-authored a nuclear research paper in 2011 with two prominent Iranian scientists (Abdollhamid Minoochehr & Hamid Zolfaghari) who were later killed during a military conflict.

He allegedly transferred classified information to Mossad and was instructed to travel to Vienna under the guise of attending a technical training course.

During his Vienna trip, he reportedly met Mossad officers multiple times, underwent security protocols, and used encrypted devices for communication B.

The judiciary emphasized that Vadi worked in a “critical and sensitive” national organization, making him a high-value target for foreign intelligence.

“Collaboration with the mullahs’ regime never ends well at any level.”
