Mohsen Rafighdoost, the former Minister of the IRGC and former head of the so-called Foundation for the Oppressed, spoke about the assassinations of Shapour Bakhtiar, the last Prime Minister of the Pahlavi era; Gholam Ali Oveissi, an Army General of the Imperial Iranian Army; Shahriar Shafiq, the son of Ashraf Pahlavi and a senior officer in the Imperial Navy; and Fereydoun Farrokhzad, an artist opposing the clerical regime.

He stated: “The Basque separatist group in Spain carried out these assassinations for us. We paid them, and they carried out assassinations for us.”
Regarding how the Iran-Iraq War ended, he said:
“Hashemi told me that I was the obstacle to ending the war, and when I was removed from the war headquarters, the war ended. They had asked Mohsen Rezaei when the war would end, and he had said, ‘Until the capture of Baghdad and the fall of Saddam.’ Then he provided a list, which was taken to Khomeini, and they told him, ‘We cannot obtain what is on this list.’”
