The trial of several senior officials in Hassan Rouhani’s government was held in the Administrative Violations Court of Government Employees, and they were informed of the charged accounts.
The process of investigating the violations of the 11th and 12th government officials started a few months ago and has recently accelerated.
Hassan Rouhani’s senior officials were accused of violations such as the 4200 Toman currency, the Crescent Petroleum case, the feeble production and sale of oil and gas, and lack of necessary investment in these sectors and termination of international contracts in this field, the proliferation of poverty, extravagance and corruption of managers in the Social Security Investment Company (Shasta), and also increasing housing prices, and the non-completion of the Mehr housing project in the Administrative Violations Court of Government Employees.
Alireza Salimi, a member of the Iranian parliament presiding board, said about the names of former government officials who have been summoned to the Administrative Violations Court: Ishaq Jahangiri, first vice president of the 11th and 12th governments; Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, former oil minister; Mohammad Shariatmadari, former minister of Cooperatives Labour and Social Welfare; and Abbas Akhoondi, former minister of Roads and Urban Development have been summoned to these courts, and they will be held accountable for their actions regarding the currency of 4,200 Tomans, the Crescent, the poverty line and the performance of Shasta, Housing, and so on.
