The US Department of Homeland Security announced on Friday that the US has banned imports from 43 more Chinese companies over allegations of forced labor.
According to Sputnik, the ministry’s statement says: “The Ministry of Internal Security, on behalf of the Forced Labor Enforcement Working Group, announces the addition of 43 companies to the list of entities subject to the Forced Labor Prevention Law, as well as the technical update of the information of two existing entities.”
According to this decision, the goods produced by these companies, including aluminum, clothes, copper, cotton, tomatoes and their derivative products, will not be allowed to enter the American market.
Earlier this month, the US imposed tariffs of 10 percent and 12.5 percent on imports from 60 major trading partners, based on whether trading partners have sufficient laws to ban imports of goods produced with forced labor.
