Coinciding with Jake Sullivan’s visit to Israel, the best-selling newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth published an interview with the new commander of the Israeli Air Force, who said that Israel has the capability to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities tomorrow.

In this interview, the reporter asked him if the Israeli air force was ready to attack Iran “tomorrow” if necessary, to which General Tomer Bar replied, “Yes.”

General Tomer Bar said: “I must assume that it might happen during my tenure, and I understand the magnitude of such an order,” he said. If such an order is given, “there is no way that I will fly 1,000 kilometers and come home without succeeding in my mission,” he said.

General Tombarbar will take over as commander of the Israeli Air Force in April next year.
